Spring is here!

Intro

Oops! I completely missed updating you in March—I guess I took that Daylight Saving Time “spring ahead” thing a little too literally.

February brought subzero temperatures, record-breaking snowfall, and sinus infections that just wouldn’t quit. Thankfully, March shifted gears with new opportunities to give back to the community, swim lessons for my son, and more quality time with my daughter.

On top of that, both February and March were incredibly busy for travel—and it’s been so exciting to see many of you planning ahead for summer vacations, the holidays, and even next winter!

Monthly Recap

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to join Audley Travel in Morocco this June! This week-long journey begins in Casablanca and includes Rabat, Fes, Meknes, Volubilis, Chefchaouen, and Tangier. I may even extend my stay to spend a couple of days in Marrakech.

Before that, I’m gearing up for my own family vacation to Jamaica at the end of April. I’ll technically be offline from April 25 – May 1… but let’s be honest—I’ll still be checking emails and messages at least once a day.

As many of you know, continuing education is one of my personal pillars. This month I completed training with Switzerland’s tourism board and am now a certified specialist. Audley Travel, a supplier specializing in premium tailor-made itineraries, has also denoted me as a specialist. Lastly, I attended a presentation hosted by Celebrity Cruises to learn more about their Alaskan cruisetours. Please let me know if there’s a destination or supplier you’d like me to study!

Travel Amid Geopolitical Tensions

Let’s address the elephant in the room—there’s a lot happening in the world right now, and depending on the news you follow, travel can feel uncertain.

The reality is that destinations and travel suppliers prioritize guest safety—it’s fundamental to their operations. I also rely on trusted, up-to-date sources like travel.state.gov when advising clients.

Another helpful perspective: consider distance and context. For example, would you cancel a trip to New York City because of something happening in Denver?

At the end of the day, your comfort level matters most. I’m here to support your decisions and ensure you feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Travel Tips

1. Book Early for the Best Value

If you’re budget-conscious, consider booking trips 1.5–2 years in advance. Many cruise lines and tour groups offer early-release pricing with deposits under $500 per person, allowing you to lock in your ideal itinerary and pay over time.

Worried about prices dropping? I regularly monitor rates—and if a better deal becomes available, I make sure you benefit from the savings.

2. Be Open with Your Travel Advisor

Recently, I created a detailed river cruise proposal for a new client—hours of research to find the best options. They ultimately booked on their own after finding a lower price in a different cabin category.

It was frustrating at first, but it also reminded me how important trust and communication are.

I genuinely care about every traveler I work with. If something doesn’t feel right or you come across a better deal, please tell me. I’m always happy to review options, explain differences, and make sure you’re getting the best possible value.
