Oh What a Winter!

Intro

Having lived in Upstate NY for over 20 years, I take pride that I handle the cold well, but when I’m driving my kids to school and it’s -14*F outside, I’m cursing the weather, my life decisions, and the lack of a nearby warm beach.

Monthly Recap

Thankfully, all this snow and freezing temperatures has given me nothing but time to research and work on your future travels! Here are some destinations I’ve been discussing lately - Antigua, Algarve, Bahamas, Barcelona, Bermuda, Burgundy, Charleston, Dominican Republic, Germany, Hawaii, Jamaica, Las Vegas, Martinique, Mexico, Orlando, San Juan, Switzerland, and Tahiti.

Travel Tips

  • Book early morning flights. Early morning flights are far less likely to be delayed or canceled because planes and crews are already in place, and weather disruptions haven’t had time to domino. Yes, the alarm will hurt—but starting your trip on schedule (and stress-free) is usually worth it.

  • Book the big things in advance—flights, hotel stay, and any must-do experiences—but leave breathing room in your itinerary. Some of the best travel moments happen when you wander into a café, follow a local recommendation, or linger somewhere longer than planned. Structure gives you ease; flexibility gives you magic.

  • Pack for how you actually travel. If you rewear outfits, prioritize versatile pieces. If you love walking, bring the good shoes. If you always end up buying souvenirs, leave space in your bag. Packing honestly makes travel lighter—physically and mentally—and saves you from hauling things you never touch.

What I’m Reading & Watching

I just started reading The ONE Thing by Gary Keller and it’s great for re-setting priorities! My daughter finally convinced me to watch Stranger Things and it has not disappointed! We’ve binged four seasons and I’m excited to see the last season that was just released.

Alright. Well that’s it for now. Catch up with you in March!
